Case Competition


Scholarship recipients are encouraged to enter a unique case into the Case Competition that focuses on a complex procedure, complication management, or advanced/novel technique in treating a complex arrhythmia. The Program Committee will judge the Submitted Cases, and the authors of the three best cases will present their work during the Case Competition Session. The overall winner will receive a $1,500 honorarium and a plaque to commemorate their accomplishment, and the runners-up will each receive a $500 honorarium.

*While not required, entering a Case into the Competition is encouraged. Participation is limited to on-site attendees who qualify for a Scholarship. Cases submissions must be received by October 17, 2025.  

Participation Criteria

  1. Participation is limited to on-site attendees who qualify for a Scholarship.
  2. Submit an Interesting Case in abstract format by October 17, 2025, focusing on a complex procedure, management of a complication, or advanced/novel technique in treating a complex arrhythmia. The submitted Case Abstract should be at most 750 words; up to 5 images/figures may also be submitted with your abstract, although they are not required.
  3. The Program Committee will review all submissions and select the Best three Cases to present during the Summit.
  4. Applicants will be notified of the decision by October 24, 2025.

  5. The Case Competition Session will feature 10-minute Case presentations from the three finalists and corresponding review discussions between the presenters and panelists after each Case presentation. (A maximum of 10 PowerPoint Slides may be used for the Case presentations.) The overall winner will be announced after all Case presentations.

    • The Summit Organizer, MediaSphere Medical, will coordinate the participation of the 3 Case Competition finalists.
    • The overall winner will receive a $1,500 honorarium and a plaque to commemorate their accomplishment, and the runners-up will each receive a $500 honorarium.
    • Peer-reviewed Journal Publication and PubMed Central® (PMC) Indexing: The three finalists will have their case study abstract published in the double-blind peer-reviewed publication, The Journal of Innovations in Cardiac Rhythm Management™, and indexed in PubMed Central® (PMC).
